Genetics

The study of genetics focuses on 1) the relationship between the transmission of genes from parent to offspring and the outcome of the offspring’s traits, 2) molecular understanding of the features of DNA and how these features underlie the expression of genes and 3) genetic variation and how that variation is related to an organism’s environment.

Note: This minor is only for non-CBS students. Students pursuing the Genetics minor are not eligible for the Cell Biology minor.
