Susan has her Master of Science in Counseling and Student Personnel-College Student Affairs from Minnesota State University, Mankato; She also has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Minnesota.
Susan is from Marshfield, WI, which is about 3 hours east of here in the middle of the state. She came to the U of M first as an undergraduate student largely due to her campus tour experience. She immediately felt at home on the campus, and everyone she interacted with made her feel very welcome! After earning her bachelor's and deciding to pursue a career in higher education, it was only a matter of time before Susan knew she would eventually return to work here.
Susan absolutely loves vacationing to National Parks, and Rocky Mountain National Park is her home away from home. She also enjoys spending time with her partner, two kids, and their two cats, and can often be found reading a sci-fi/fantasy book.

Get out there and try stuff outside of your classes! You never know who you might meet, what new interest you might discover, and what you will learn about yourself from that experience. Join a club, volunteer, study abroad, just make sure you do something.
