Overview:
OUE 2100 is a web-based, 1-credit course for degree-seeking undergraduate students who are strongly undecided about their academic major or those who need to consider a "Plan B" major. Through a combination of online course modules and in-person meetings, students will develop an Exploratory Action Plan to help them discover and declare a best-fit major that matches their interests, values and academic skills.
Course Format:
- The course is designed to allow students some freedom in customizing their exploration process. Some of the class assignments are required while others are selected by the student.
- This course is facilitated online but also includes two meeting with a CAPE Coach/Instructor and experientail exercises that require interaction with campus resources, staff and the community.
- Because of the unique nature of this course, students are required to complete a pre-registration survey to determine if this course is a good fit.
- Students must be full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Priority is given to undecided students who have completed at least 15 credits on the Twin Cities campus. We also welcome undecided transfer students in this course.
- If you would like to talk to someone about this course, please utilize the CAPE Drop-In Hours or email capeinfo@umn.edu.
